Carol Rapso,n MD, is a medical oncologist at Red Cedar Oncology in East Lansing and Charlotte, Michigan.
Dr. Rapson earned her medical degree from Michigan State University and completed her residency and fellowship at Michigan State University. Dr. Rapson has served on the Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology (MSHO) board of directors since 1996. She is also active in Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium (MOQC) and sits on the board of Its a Breast Thing in the Lansing area.
Dr. Rapson founded Red Cedar Oncology in East Lansing in 2012. She takes pride in her practice because it remains an independent practice with stellar employees who are as dedicated to providing quality patient care as she is. She loves sharing ideas with Dr. Anthony Brandau, who joined the practice five years ago and is as committed as she is to patients and the practice. Red Cedar Oncology strives to be at the top of innovation with new cutting-edge therapies that give more hope than ever to patients battling the disease. Dr. Rapson is excited by all the new drugs, interventions, clinical trials, and treatment options available for her patients and how well she sees them doing today with more clinical options available.
Dr. Rapson states that oncology and medicine have been a gift and very important part of her life. She believes that being an oncologist isn’t just a job; it is being able to have the true gift of devotion, dedication, and a supportive mentality towards your patients.
Dr. Rapson and her husband, Tom, have been married for 45 years. They have two children and four grandchildren. They enjoy spending time on their horse farm with their family and animals. They enjoy vacationing in west Michigan in the summer and trips to Disneyland with their grandchildren.
