Dr. Chandar Ramanathan is a board certified Pediatric Pulmonologist. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. He then went on to complete his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed a pediatric residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD and then went on to complete a Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. During his fellowship, Dr. Ramanathan worked on research with evaluating mucus regulators and mucus dehydration in the pediatric cystic fibrosis (CF) airway using flexible bronchoscopy.After fellowship, he went on to work at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio as a Pediatric Pulmonologist for over 6 years where he helped in developing the BPD-Pulmonology clinic, he was a primary pulmonologist in the Pediatric Aerodigestive Disorders Clinic, and was involved in care of a diverse population of patients with pulmonary disorders including asthma, cystic fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, and children with complex airway disorders.He joined as a Pediatric Pulmonologist at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in July 2017 where he continues to provide care to the children of central Indiana with a variety of pulmonary disorders, he is active in care of children with Aerodigestive disorders, and is involved with education for residents and medical students.Dr. Ramanathan lives with his wife and 2 sons.
