Dr. Thrush received his medical education at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Thrush received his fellowship in allergy and immunology while serving in the army at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as allergy and immunology. Dr. Thrush, a native West Virginian, has been licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia since 1979. Before going into private practice in Charleston, West Virginia in 1982, Dr. Thrush was an associate professor and chief of allergy at West Virginia University. He is a clinical professor with the WVU Medical Center. Dr. Thrush resides with his wife in the Charleston area.
