Dr. Brian Bohner is a highly acclaimed physician specializing in pulmonary disease and sleep medicine. He is currently seeing patients out of the Towson office.
In private practice for more than 25 years, Dr. Bohner is a founding member of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates of Baltimore (PCCAB). He also founded the Sleep Medicine Associates of Maryland, a sub-group of PCCAB. He is the founding medical director of several hospital sleep centers in the region, including Franklin Square Medical Center (1997), St. Joseph Medical Center (1999), Greater Baltimore Medical Center (2002), Sinai Hospital (2007), and Union Memorial Hospital (2009). All of these centers have been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Bohner is a founding member of the Maryland Sleep Society, serving as President from 2010-11 and again from 2013-15. He was also a member of the Maryland Sleep Consortium that spearheaded sleep technician licensure in the state. He has trained more than 100 medical residents in hospitals throughout the Baltimore region and hundreds more at sleep medicine training symposiums worldwide.
He has been recognized as one of America’s Top Physicians in sleep medicine by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and was named one of the Top Doctors in sleep medicine by Baltimore magazine for more than 10 consecutive years. He is sometimes asked to provide expert analysis on sleep medicine for local media outlets.
Dr. Bohner is a veteran who served as a Major in the Air Force for three years of active duty, including deployment to Operation Desert Storm in 1991. He enjoys golf and coin collecting and lives in Sparks with his wife, Wendy, and their son, Justin.
