Dr. Mohamad Khaled is a neurosurgeon with Hartford HealthCare’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute.
His areas of clinical interest are deep brain stimulation, epilepsy surgery, surgery for pain, brain tumors, minimally-invasive spine surgery, cervical spine deformity correction surgery and surgery of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar parts of the spine. He was one of a pair of surgeons who performed the system’s first deep brain stimulation procedure for epilepsy.
Dr. Khaled earned his medical degree at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed an internship in the University of Virginia health system and a residency at Wayne State University. He also completed a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
Fluent in Arabic, he is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
