Stephen Shogan, MD, is a Detroit native and a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1982, and is a member of both the Denver Medical Society and Colorado Neurosurgical Society. Dr. Shogan has been listed as one of 5280 Magazine's "Top Doctors" for neurosurgery sixteen years in a row. From 1982 to 1984, Dr. Shogan was an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, as well as the Medical Co-Director of Neurology-Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit at Denver General Hospital. Since 1984 he has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology as well as the Chief of Neurosurgery at Rose Medical Center. From 1993 to 1995 he also acted as the Medical Staff President at Rose Medical Center, and he holds a Diplomate certification from both the American Board of Neurological Surgery (1985) and from the National Board of Medical Examiners (1977). Dr. Shogan is married and has three children.
